Therapeutic Massage by Nick

Overview

My first priority is to make my clients feel comfortable and relaxed during their massage. We'll start by quickly going over what issues are bringing you in, I'll try to get a sense of the history of the issues and how best to approach them through massage, then I'll start some calming music and you can completely relax on the table. My approach combines Swedish, Shiatsu, and Somatic Experiencing techniques.

I have worked as a licensed psychotherapist...More for over a decade and have decided to start doing massage/bodywork because I realized that not everything can be worked through by talking. Over the course of my career, I have attended many trainings and experiential courses about how tension and trauma get stored in the nervous system. I believe that my training both as a therapist and a bodyworker gives me a unique ability to tune into my clients' nervous systems and create a deeply therapeutic experience.
I work out of my house in Noe Valley, San Francisco, and can also travel to you for an additional fee.
