Overview

My approach to therapeutic massage starts from a simple premise: the body is more accurate than the description of it.

People point to where it hurts, but pain is a poor map — tension refers, compensates and settles far from where it began. So I work from anatomy rather than from the complaint. I look for the pattern holding the tension in place and I stay with that pattern until it releases, which often means working somewhere the client never...More would have named.

I work with people carrying chronic muscular tension, recovering from training, or under sustained stress. My sessions draw on Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial release and trigger point therapy, chosen according to what I find in the tissue rather than a fixed sequence.

As a Licensed Nurse and professional massage therapist, each session begins with postural observation and a review of injuries, surgeries, and medical conditions and I adjust pressure and technique from there.

Sessions are available at my private studio in Northridge and by mobile appointment across Greater Los Angeles. I work with organic massage oils and accommodate scent sensitivities.

Clients most often come to me for neck and shoulder tension, low back pain, hip restriction and recovery between workouts. Text me to check availability.
