I have suffered from low back pain for years, and as a result, I’ve seen lots of massage therapists and tried every possible modality. When I saw Carmella, I’d been suffering for months from stabbing pain that went from my low back, around my hip and down to my shin. Two months of PT had barely improved it at all. I also hadn’t had a massage in some time bc of COVID, so there was a lot of work to do. I described the pain I’d been having and Carmella noted a couple of different things that might be going on and got to work. An hour later it was a world of difference. She intuitively used just the right deep pressure where I needed it and eased up where my pain was worst and worked through it. I got up feeling both rejuvenated and pain free for the first time in months. (I also told my PT the next day about the nerve Carmella thought might be involved. She was impressed, adjusted my session and asked what massage school she went to!) Carmella is the real deal. She brings good calming positive energy to the table, listens to her client, and has the skills and instincts to heal. She’s a keeper!
